A JOURNEY THROUGH
THE WESTERN ISLES
OF SCOTLAND

May 21st - 30th 2008

Itinerary


Day 1 - Weds 21st May

You will be met at Stornoway airport on the Isle of Lewis after your connecting flight from Glasgow. Go to hotel for rest-up before Introductions meeting.

Dinner at hotel.


Callanish
Day 2 - Thurs 22nd May

Morning orientation meeting.

Our first port of call is Callanish adjoining circles II and III for grounding and preparation before visiting the Callanish main stone circle. We will have a meditation/ceremony here.

We will visit Dun Carloway Broch to see what was a grand house in the Hebrides at the time of Jesus.

Dinner at the hotel.


North Uist
Day 3 - Fri 23rd May

Drive through the stunningly beautiful scenery of the adjoining isles of Lewis and Harris. Catch the ferry from Harris to North Uist. Afternoon on North Uist.

Visit Pobull Fhinn circle, a beautiful dreaming circle on moorland, overlooking a sea-loch and nearby Barpa Langais Chambered Cairn for drumming and deep meditation into the Earth.

Stay at a hotel on Benbecula Island. Free-choice dinner not included in tour price.


Day 4 - Sat 24th May

En route south we will stop at Cringraval Circle where the road cuts through it.

Teampull Na Troin is a ruined church which was a former spiritual university in the Middle Ages, people came from all over Europe to study here. There is a beautiful feeling here on the edge of a sea-loch.

Our Lady of the Isles is a stunning 1960s statue of Mary holding the child Jesus aloft, placed directly on the Callanish energy line!

We catch the ferry to Oban on the mainland, a 5½-hour sailing part of which is through the beautiful Sound of Mull. We will have time on board to share our experiences to date.

Stay at hotel in Oban. Free-choice dinner not included in tour price.


Lochbuie
Day 5 - Sun 25th May

We start the day with a visit to the amazing Loch Nell Serpent Mound.

Drive to Kilmartin Valley with over 150 sacred sites! We visit Stone Avenue, Templewood stone circle, with a cist and chambered cairn. We will spend the afternoon exploring some of the sites there.

Stay at Oban hotel again. Dinner at hotel included.


Day 6 - Mon 26th May

We catch the early Oban - Craignure, Mull ferry, just a 45 minute sailing.

We then have an hour's scenic drive through Mull to the ferry terminal over to Iona.

Day on Iona: St. Columba's Chair where he used to meditate and where the Callanish energy line comes in, Iona Abbey, with its beautiful acoustic Chapel, the Nunnery gardens which are sublime, the Well of Eternal Youth, the beach, and generally exploring the island.

We catch the return ferry to Mull where we stay for the night.

Arran
Day 7 - Tues 27th May

We start the day with a visit to Lochbuie Stone Circle, a Faery circle surrounded by mountains, its location is idyllic. We will offer a ceremony/meditation to the elementals whose presence is very strong here.

We then catch the return ferry to Oban before driving down the side of beautiful Loch Fyne to Clonaig for the ferry to Lochranza, on Isle of Arran.

Stay at hotel in Brodick on Arran for two nights. Dinner at hotel.


Machrie Moor
Day 8 - Weds 28th May

Morning exploring sites on Arran:
The six stone circles of Machrie Moor are stunning! (1.5 mile walk from the road);
Brodick homemade chocolates shop is a very sacred site!
The Ring of Brodick and the magical Fairy Dell.

Free-choice dinner not included in tour price.

Rosslyn Chapel
Day 9 - Thurs 29th May

Early morning ferry to the mainland at Ardrossan then a two-hour drive to Edinburgh. We will have an afternoon guided tour of Rosslyn Chapel, the Knight's Templar sanctuary made famous by the Da Vinci Code.

Farewell dinner at our hotel.


Day 10 - Fri 30th May

To Glasgow airport for return flights home.
