MALTA
Golden Isle of the Goddess
May 4th - 13th 2008
An exploration of the world's oldest temples and the Spirit of Place on this sun-kissed Mediterranean island.
You'll be travelling with world-renowned dowsers Hamish and Ba Miller, local guide Francis Xavier Aloisio, and Sacred Britain's tour directors Glenn and Cameron Broughton. An introduction to Earth Energy Dowsing is included.
Set on green-carpeted land, under sunny blue skies and surrounded by crystal-clear azure seas the honey-coloured temples of Malta were built on exceptional sites and would have been a powerful celebration of the abundance of nature. Dwarf elephants basked in the sun while eagles soared high above. The island's treasure is its stone, a type of limestone that traps the light in its corners, its panels and its curves; this golden stone earned Malta the name of Melita, "the island of honey".
The design of the temples, their underground chambers and figurines that were found in situ would indicate that they were dedicated to the goddess. Hal Saflieni Hypogeum, Tarxien, Mnajdra, Hagar Qim and Ggantija are the best-preserved examples of this temple culture. The tiny islands of Malta and Gozo still have dozens of these Neolithic sacred sites, all of which pre-date both Stonehenge and the Pyramids. We will explore these truly ancient sites and make a conscious connection with the energies/spirit of place present.
Malta's central location in the middle of the Mediterranean made this small island country an important gateway to Europe, Africa and the East. Successively occupied by Sicilians, Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans, Arabs, Normans, Knights of St. John, Napoleon and the British, Malta has a rich cultural heritage spanning 7,000 years. This is strikingly visible in the varied architecture of its towns and many churches. Despite being invaded so frequently the Maltese people have always had an international reputation for their warm hospitality.

Hamish Miller, considered by many to be the foremost earth energies dowser in the world, discovered the Michael and Mary energy currents associated with the famous St Michael leyline running across southern England. Together with his wife Ba, who is also an accomplished dowser, they tracked energy currents across Europe and into the Holy Land and most recently connected with the energies of the land in New Zealand.
They will offer an introduction to practical earth energy dowsing at the start of the tour to enable you to feel the energies of this land for yourself. Then, as we visit the various sites, we will make a conscious connection with these powerful energies and learn how they respond to our attention. This is a tremendously transformative two-way process that has changed the lives of many including your tour guides. We feel that these positive relationships with the Earth, especially at power centers, are necessary and beneficial in the pivotal times of change in which we live. Further informal in-depth dowsing instruction can be arranged at times during the tour if anyone is interested in developing this exciting talent.

For years it has been our dream to be with a group of sensitive people experiencing the unique energies on the Island of Malta. Earth energies react positively to acknowledgement by individual and group consciousness and the ancient natural forces throughout the island become particularly responsive as you work with them. We have known and loved Cameron and Glenn for years so we asked them, as expert organizers and a really warm-hearted and caring couple, if they would consider running the Malta tour with us. We are truly delighted that they agreed and all we can say really is "Whoopee!"
Hamish Miller is a master dowser and blacksmith living at the foot of Trencrom Hill in Cornwall. It was Hamish's dowsing efforts, recorded in The Sun and The Serpent, that first revealed that earth energy currents move in serpentine fashion through the earth. Furthermore, he discovered the seminal fact that energy currents flow in pairs of complementary opposites, something that sheds much light on our understanding of sacred sites. Ba Miller is a long-time dowser and therapist. Together Hamish and Ba have followed leylines and tracked the paths of the dragon currents across England, Europe and New Zealand. They'll be teaching a dowsing workshop at the start of this tour to enable you to sense the earth energies for yourself and then will be available throughout the trip for information and guidance. They will inevitably be sharing with us their many experiences of sacred sites and earth energies and how the spirits of the land and the ancestors communicate with us. Francis Xavier Aloisio was born in 1946. He spent half his life abroad. He was trained by the Jesuits and became a missionary priest in Peru. After he resigned from the Church, he settled in England, where he worked in child-care and eventually became Chief Executive of a Charity caring for people with learning disabilities. While abroad he could appreciate more all that was Maltese, so when he returned home, he decided to start promoting the beautiful, rich and unique culture of his native country. He completed two collections of paintings depicting Malta's history and Malta's prehistoric heritage of the Temples. He has written a novel based on the true purpose of the Maltese Temples entitled The Islands of Dream. He is at present writing an autobiography and a second novel The Children of the Temples.
Malta lies on some major pathways of highly charged electromagnetic energy. The temples were built on energy or ley lines and they are very much alive and pulsing. Each temple has an energy point that vibrates stronger than in other areas. It's up to us now to re-energies these power points, vortexes and energy centres. The vortex of each temple will get stronger each time we acknowledge and connect with these power points.
